Im New to Dragonfly photography and i have just come across your website and think its brilliant the way you have set it all out with superb descriptions and photos, I have book marked the site as i know i will return often for ID Pointers, its better than a book i recently purchaced.
Once again Thanks
K Gallie
Brilliant website, found it useful in identifying my recent dragonfly and damselfly sightings which I recorded on my website. Will place a link to your site on mine and no doubt will be back again as I am a novice in these subjects.
What a wonderful site! Great photos and clear quality information.
Thanks to clarity and ease of navigation, and of course your beautiful photos, I have ID'd my garden visitor as a female Migrant Hawker.
As a novice photographer and naturalist, I will be visiting often in the future.
Thank you very much.
Positively impressed by your website. Let's exchange links:

Our chance encounter yesterday at Warren Heath Ponds signalled a turning point in my newly found interest in this fascinating subject. My efforts to capture a shot of the resting Emperor, the first I've had in my viewfinder, convinced me that priority has to be a new dedicated macro lens to replace my slow and noisy Sigma APO zoom. I guess you probably will not use your shots because of the distracting cluttered background but I would be interested to see one for the sake of comparison.
Congratulations on a brilliant web site; a must in anybody's arsenal of informed and illustrative odonata references.
Cheers
David
To-day I was watching and taking photos of, what I now know, thanks to you, are Broad Bodied Chasers. A blue bodied male was particularly interesting as he kept returning to the same grasshead overhanging the pond, again and again and I got several pleasing photos of him.
Many thanks for making all this info and beautiful photos public.
Hi! Chris, I am really amazed by your wonderful website which is really gorgeous. You've left no space for any doubt or comment, it is really a clever work a very useful and educative. Thanks for the pictures and your long hard work. If I were to choose the best sites, for sure your's would be my top. CONGRATULATIONS and keep the good work. All the best! regards, Hussein Kefel
Thanks for an impressive collection of shots, Chris and, as a new snapper of odonata in 2009, it's helpful to know the equipment you have been using. Let's look forward to a productive season in 2010.
A fantastic and comphrehensive website and a wonderful source for information and knowledge.
What a brilliant site. Not only superb images but the amount of information available is amazing. A perfect site for the odonato enthusiasts. Thanks for sharing.your knowledge and photography skills.
This extensive site covers all you need to know about dragonflies and damselflies. A quick identification tab guides you through the different species while the topography section includes labelled pictures and a glossary of anatomical terms. Being a photographer, the gallery and favourite pictures are sure to impress. What’s more, you can learn how to take shots like this yourself in the photography techniques section, which generously teaches you how to end up with fantastic photographs.
Really informative website which shows the diversity of wildlife in Britain. Excellent photos which must have taken a lot of patience to accumalate. Well done Chris.
Hi Chris, I found your website via Moonfruit and I was astounded by the quality of your dragonfly shots! I was very impressed by your images, and found the descriptions of your camera technique interesting in their own right!

Your naratives and pictures are great, Dave. I have Azure Blue and Small Red Damselflies in my garden every year but could never identify what they were properly. Thanks to the site, I now know what they are - and a little about what they do.
